Looking for an amazing and very reliable person to work with my 16 year old daughter with homeschool curriculum. I currently homeschool her - she does have ADHD and prader willi syndrome, and looking for someone to provide alternate supports a few hours a day/week. She isn't on an academic path, rather it's called Evergreen which focuses on subjects to help her gain life skills ie. math to help her add and buy items at a store; english to help her comprehend; spelling to fill out applications correctly; writing for legibility; etc. Her lessons are provided in a book, but love someone creative who can help bring concepts to life in a new way if she isn't understanding it. Being able to think outside the box is an asset. She is functional and fairly independent. She is also strong-willed so someone who is patient and flexible in a confident and caring way have been successful in working with her. She is an extrovert so a softer, introverted-type, but confident person has served her best. We also have two dogs (one puppy) so someone who loves dogs is mandatory. If you love to connect with youth, love helping them learn and are super patient, and creative I'd love to hear from you. Teaching experience isn't mandatory, I have found it's really about fit and the kind of person you are - don't rule yourself out. Commitment - 2-3 days a week, negotiable - 2-4 hours a day, negotiable - starting Sept 2023
