Approximately 4-6 hours per week. Need someone who is willing to take our son for a few hours to activities ie parks/swimming. Must have a drivers license as some transportation is required. Some respite care is needed in the afternoon/early evenings as we have an older child who has a busy school/sports schedule. Our son is a very loving and happy boy but does require supervision at all times. He is verbal but has high echolalia and speaks in scripts and repetition often. He is not fully toilet trained and does wear pull-ups.

L is 10 and has a moderate cognitive delay. She is sweet and fun loving and sees herself as “almost a teenager”. She is regulated and compliant at school but requires quite a bit of attention at home as she bounces from task to task without being very engaged and wants to be talking to someone pretty much constantly. I am looking for someone who can help her have a good time while working on skills she needs in a fun way. Examples would be early math and number sense, being organized with her things, and working on conversion skills. We have support through FSCD for community and respite hours. We are looking to use those funds for this purpose.

I’m looking for a long term, regular respite working in my home with my 3 daughters. Hours are 4-7 pm Monday and Tuesday (could increase to Wed and Thursday as well for the right person). My daughters are 9, 9, and 13. The 13 year old has Down syndrome, type 1 diabetes and will have a G tube. Skills in managing these conditions can be built over time. The goals of the respite time is time with each child, helping keep the after school/dinner/chore routines, promoting healthy communication between the girls, and some work on speech with the 13 year old. There will mostly be another adult in the home to help during these times. Pay is $18.75/hr. There may be opportunities for higher pay (up to $29/hr) for the right person. Ideally the right candidate will be 18 or over, have experience or interest in working with kids with ADHD or other disabilities and be personally suitable. Please message me for more information. Starting Aug 21 and continuing for the entire next school year.
