This includes walking support and ensuring she uses her cane and safety belt. Medication management is part of the role, including administering eye drops and other prescribed treatments. Companionship and activities are important parts of this role. You’ll join the elder in classes, walks, and visits to gardens or conservatories, offering meaningful conversations and emotional support. Additionally, you will accompany her to medical appointments, ensuring she is prepared and comfortable. Housekeeping tasks include cleaning, tidying, laundry, and changing bed linens to keep the home clean and safe. You’ll also watch for any changes in her health and report concerns.
