Hi! We are located in east Vancouver and are looking for help 3-4 days a week, 8am-4pm starting on Dec 2. We have an 18 month old and a 4yr old, but our 4yr old is in preschool from 8:30-12:30, so he will only be home in the afternoons. Up to $23 an hour depending on experience. I’m looking for 8 hours of help weekly around the house. Typically on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday between the hours 10am to 4pm depends on your availability. I live in a two stories house with a basement . I also have a cat and both my husband and I work from home most days. Help will be especially needed when either of us have to go into the office some days. We have a 3 year old who goes to daycare until 5pm. Looking for someone who can provide references and has background checks. Regular tasks include: -Tidying up toys and putting things away -Doing dishes and load dishwasher -Laundry -Light cleaning (vacuuming and wiping down surfaces in bathroom and kitchen. Don’t need to clean bedrooms just vacuum is fine) -Meal prep for that night’s dinner and some snack items. -Gathering garbage or recycling (depends on the week) into bags and put in the bins outside. Occasional tasks as needed: -Pick up basic grocery items like milk, eggs, fruits etc in nearby store around the corner. If you’re comfortable with pet care: -Feeding the cat and cleaning up litter box

Our family is currently searching for a part-time Community Support Worker for our lovely 34 year old daughter. N has a brain injury, acquired at age 14, due to unexpected cardiac arrest. This has left her with significant short term memory loss. N is also under a neuropsychiatrist’s care for bi-polar disorder, which primarily manifests as insomnia and motor restlessness. She is well-monitored by her neuropsychiatrist, and we work as a team so that N may lead her best life. N is an intelligent, funny, and active person. She has many interests, both at-home and outdoors, and loves to be engaged and active. We encourage N’s team to suggest social, cultural, and volunteer opportunities for N. N currently attends a weekly art class and two Pilates classes. N requires 24-7 care and companionship, as she is a vulnerable adult. She requires prompting with bathing and personal care, as well as with Activities of Daily Living. A vehicle is required, in order to access the community for weekly activities; medical appointments; shopping, etc. Mileage is paid on a monthly basis. Hourly wage is between $23 – $27.
