Seeking a housekeeper and nanny who can be our overall household assistant. Mainly afternoons and evenings. Up to 40 hours/week! About us: we are a fun family of five: three children ages 3, 6 and 8. This position would include helping with the daily operations in the home, such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, bathrooms, dishes, laundry, organization, meal prep, etc. Our youngest is only in daycare half-days so ideally you'd be able to help care for him or manage the after school activities. Every day would look a little different so there is never a dull moment!

My partner and I are starting to come to terms with the idea that we cannot keep up with a regular cleaning schedule and need help with organizing our home to keep it clutter-free and put things away. We have held off for many years because we would like to do everything ourselves and have had ongoing renovations. The house is still not fully renovated and we are outgrowing the space. We struggled to keep our place clean before having kids but now with a 15-month-old, it is almost impossible without taking time off work. We may need some more significant help starting to get the house into a more organized state and then would look for regular weekly maintenance after that. We'll be looking for some guidance on the required amount of time to maintain the home since this is our first time getting help! We have some feelings of anxiety surrounding letting someone see our messy home and struggle with feeling that we should be capable of cleaning up after ourselves. We will have to overcome this to enjoy a cleaner environment and make time to tackle the remaining renovation projects. I'm not really firm on the schedule and would be open to someone coming a few mornings a week or a few afternoons a week as opposed to full days. It may make more sense if someone is helping with laundry etc. Wednesdays and Thursdays during the workday seem like the most suitable for me since everyone will be out of the home and my mom sometimes watches our son at the house on Fridays. Mondays or Tuesdays are also not out of the question but it would be nicer to have the house clean for the weekends. Please let me know what your expected hourly rate is.
