I am looking for a childcare provider to help me with 2 children 24 hours a day for 7 days. I will be out of the country and I am trying to find someone who can look after my kids while I am out of the country. There is a dog that my landlords has but it will never be in our area. It is a shared kitchen and laundry with the landlords But I have my own basement which would be a bedroom and a family room. Plus I have a futon for you to sleep on. I would like to meet the person first and have my kids hang out with the person just to see if it will go well. I would also like a police record check and references just to be on the safe side. Our family, coming from Australia in 2022 (PR 2024), living in SW Calgary (Spruce Cliff) are seeking a responsible and dedicated individual to care for our 2 sons, aged ~3.5 years and ~10 months. Our oldest is on the spectrum, non-verbal, and started PUF + therapies Sept 2024, which is helping him thrive tremendously. He's pretty self sufficient, pretty introvert, just needs some extra help with some direction & diaper changing (not yet potty trained) & communicates with occasional vocal stimming. Outside of those challenges, he's the sweetest boy that's chock full of energy, loves the outdoors & growing to try/love so many new and different things everyday. Our youngest is developing at lighting speed, started pulling up at 7 months, cruising at 8 months, now standing on his own for a few good seconds at 9 months. He's exclusively formula fed (We have a Brezza so its already pre-set, you just push a button, mix & serve :D) with combined baby-led weaning solids (eating at an 18 month level, so it's 1 meal split between 2 with minor prep differences i.e. cut fruit vs whole fruit, cut sandwhich in quarters vs cut in half etc.). He's also pretty self sufficient, more of an extrovert, loves interacting with people, loves music (particularly Armin Van Buuren or classical/piano) also loves the outdoors (or just going out anywhere), is also mostly on-time with his "duties" (feed, change, play, sleep sleep SLEEEEPPPPP! LOVES SLEEP!). Both boys have alot of likes/dislikes in common, so even with their polar opposite personalities, you don't really need a split personality yourself to keep up, haha! This is a live-out, casual position (odd days, if available. Will give as much notice as possible for each day(s) required with times/durations to be discussed and confirmed prior to services accepted - i.e. we'll ask if you're free x day for x hours (am or pm, Mon-Sun). Your primary responsibilities will include engaging in age-appropriate activities, providing meals/snacks, light housekeeping, meal preparation & ensuring the safety/well-being of our children. Caring requests will vary each time (day/night/duration). Either way we are happy to agree to a changing rate depending on the situation. Looking for an experienced babysitter for 2 kids (3 yr old boy & 6 yr old girl) who is able to start in NOVEMBER 2024. Looking for someone who is very friendly, kind, generous, in tune with kids and invested in their interests, and able to hold boundaries to enforce bedtime routine and juggle putting both kids to bed simultaneously and feeling comfortable taking the kids out of the house to allow us as parents to clean and level-set things at home or complete house tasks occasionally. Looking for someone who is able to drive and has a vehicle to get to and from our house, with the flexibility to take the kids to gymnastics or the zoo (with our memberships) on a weekend. We have a friendly medium size (50 lb) dog who occasionally needs to be fed and let out while at our house. While babysitting for parents outing, looking for someone who can tidy up after the kids, load the dishwasher and left the house "as it was."
