We are a thriving, busy, full-of life household of 6. We have 4 children – 3 girls (ages 4, 10, 12.5) and 1 toddler boy (1.5 yrs old)]. We are also expecting a baby girl sometime near the end of 2022. My husband and I work together, so we work both from home and run programs away from home. We homeschool our children, and so they are ALL home during the day. We also have a young dog and 2 cats. We are looking for someone who: ● loves children of all ages and has experience working/playing with children ● feels invigorated spending time with children and appreciates the beauty of those relationships ● understands or is willing to learn about sensory processing issues (our eldest (12yrs old) and four-year-old has mild sensory issues) ● believes in a shame-free, blame-free, compassionate positive caregiving approach – connection before direction ● is energetic and is able to stay calm and centered when many requests and activities may be occurring at once ● has experience, a drivers license, reference(s) and clean criminal record What we need: ● 2 part-time people (Mon/Tues and Wed/Thurs) or someone full-time that likes an ever-changing schedule (between the hours of 8am and 5pm) on weekdays ● approximately 20-24 hours total per week and sometimes as little as 15 hrs. Once in a while we need 30hrs. What we can offer: ● guaranteed full day’s pay although there will be times when we need less than a full day of care or when we do not need care at all ● weekends off ● approximately 4-6 weeks of holidays a year (that we take ourselves) that you would be paid for ● the opportunity to work for/in a caring household where your work and time is respected and appreciated The arrangement can either be through a contractor type/self-employment agreement or employee.
