| I have extensive experience in childcare (ranging from 6 months - 12 years) and have over 100 hrs total working with youth as a mentor, tutor and a disability aid. I have been provided training as a disability aid to competently care for kids with special needs. I have a WWC, police clearance and a first aid certificate on hand. As i am undertaking an undergraduate degree in behavioural science (online), I am highly motivated to work with kids with special needs as it is in line with my career and would be meaningful to me. I jave completed my tafe work placement for my course at Brightwater which is a rehabilitation facility for individuals with aquired brain injuries. My duties included: - personal care - assisted showering, dressing etc. - Preparing meals - Transferring clients using hoists and other mobility aids - supervision - Housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, ironing) I have also worked as a disability support carer/volunteer for Cahoots Disability camp (2018) and each camp I usually have 2 to 3 individuals whom I care for. I have cared for individuals with ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Autism, Down syndrome and aquired brain injury. Duties included: - supervision for my participants when on site and outings. - assistance showering and dressing - preparing meals - managing challenging behaviours Documents: - Working with children's check (current) - Police check no older than 3 months - First Aid Certificate
