Disability Support Worker
|
For the past 3 years and counting have truly enjoyed my time working at my organization and it has been a privilege to serve as an Aged and Disability Support Worker. During my tenure, I have had the opportunity to provide compassionate care and support to individuals facing various health challenges, including aging-related issues and disabilities. My responsibilities included: Assisting clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Administering medications and monitoring vital signs. Planning and implementing care plans tailored to each client's specific needs. Providing emotional support and companionship to clients. Assisting with mobility and physical therapy exercises. Maintaining detailed records of client interactions and care provided. Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure the best possible care for clients. I believe that my experience has equipped me with invaluable skills, such as empathy, patience, and effective communication, which are essential in this field. Moreover, it has deepened my understanding of the importance of maintaining dignity and respect for every individual, regardless of their age or disability.
