| Hello, My name is Cathy and I am currently working as an SSO at Seaford Secondary College during school terms and an Educator in Forbes Children’s Centre with babies, toddlers and sometimes kindy kids. I have worked as an SSO at Pimpala Primary School and placement hours were done with Woodend Primary School. I hold a Cert IV in Education Support and currently undertaking further studies in this industry. I’m a mum of 4 children aged 22, 20, 18 and 16, also an Aunty to 6 nephews and nieces. I absolutely love working with children and I’m so grateful that I found this career. There is nothing more satisfying than seeing children’s eyes light up when they achieve certain things, helping them with their education and building that bond with children is something I absolutely cherish. That’s what makes going to work, worthwhile. As my children are now growing into amazing young adults, I am also a mum to our fur baby Meg. Meg was a rescue dog that we adopted into our family about 2 years ago now. I drive a Toyota Kluger so seating is not an issue when it comes to transportation. | For 4 years of my high school I studied Child Studies. This allowed multiple opportunities weekly to spend 1-2 hours with 4-6 year old students. The experiences weekly made me realise how much I loved and enjoyed caring for children as I was able to develop such special bonds with different children so personally. I enjoyed it so much I applied and began doing part time (work experience) hours at my local childcare. This opened the experience up to care for children as young as 18 months while teaching me me knew tasks that including heating bottles and cooking meals. Through this I also started looking after the childcare group at my local gym. I hope through my small description you can see my genuine passion and love for caring for children, and therefore think I’m the right fit for your family and children. I hope to hear from you soon.
