| I have recently moved from Geelong to the Portland area to support my partner who is a graduate Secondary School teacher in town. I am looking for casual employment while I study my Certificate IV in Early Childhood Education. I absolutely love kids and providing support to families is something that makes me very happy. I have worked casually with a family of 7 (5 children under 9 and 2 with special needs) in Geelong for the last 12 months as a babysitter and nanny. Leaving this job (and the family) was a difficult decision, but as I wanted to support my partner in his new career it was necessary. I would consider myself bubbly, energetic, kind and compassionate. I love providing care for children and engaging with young people, which is why I want to become an early childhood educator after studying. I would love the opportunity to work with families around the Glenelg area, as I want to meet new people and have new experiences. I have a Current Working with Children’s Check and am more than willing to provide a Police Check. | My name is Jasmyn Robinson & I have just graduated from The Hamilton and Alexandra College with a raw 86.8 ATAR as of 2020. Throughout my studies, I have prided myself on consistently working to achieve good results academically, while also providing strong leadership through my roles as a School Prefect, House Captain, Drama Captain, Technical Production Captain, and Bus Captain. I have always had the dream and desire to work in the education field and am looking to study a Bachelor of Primary and Secondary Education in 2022 after taking a gap year this year to gain some more life experience before heading away to study. This passion to work with children has led me to take up many casual babysitting jobs within Portland over the years. My time spent volunteering at the Portland Child & Family Complex saw me undertake many activities when providing high-quality care and education to children from 8 weeks to 6 years. Some of these activities included spending time speaking with the young children and helping them engage in conversation, supervising and monitoring the safety of the children, leading group activities such as arts and crafts, and helping to prepare and organize the meals for the kids.
