I love kids and their quirky outlooks on life. I work at an after school care at Pacific Lutheran which varies in ages from prep- year 6. This jobs has given me lots of experience with children and caring for them in many environments.

| I have a nursing background of 20 years. In more recent years I’ve been looking after several children from 4 weeks old to 12 years old. I am competent with all daily needs ie bathing, nutritional meals, before and after school care, developmental activities, extracurricular activities. Some of the children I’ve previously looked after have had high needs disabilities. Reduced rate as I will have my own baby with me. He doesn’t impact my capabilities to provide quality care.

For 18 years I have worked in Community Kindergartens which I loved, however now that I have been working in a large centre for the last 3 years that also catered to After school Care I find I am wanting to return to a closer connection to families. One that has a more open ended day to educate and play and learn, explore and experience life with joy through a child's eyes. Without pressures of time restraints, staff problems, moving from room to room. My greatest joy in my job has always been the connections with the children and seeing them grow and develop and learn and have fun through play and imagination.
