I began my journey in aged care 30 years ago when I lived in America. I looked after an elderly gent for 3 years before I came back to Australia to live . I then hairdressed mobile for a few years before getting back into my passion for being a carer . The next gent I worked for was in a chair so I spent 4 years looking after him. I shopped and cleaned his unit made his meals fed him bathed him the dressed him and used mobility to put him into bed. Next job I did the exact same things and worked with this gent till he went into a nursing home . I really love this job and I have great passion giveing people who are unable to look after themselves a great quality of life and companionship.
