This is a very active 7 year old with Autism. generally happy but currently going through medication changes due to a recent diagnosis of Epilepsy. He is non verbal but is learning to use speech device. He is still in process of toilet training so needs help with training and sometimes clean up. He attends special needs school (ABA)but requires 3 hours of care starting at 4 pm weekdays plus possibly Saturday afternoon. Applicant will need to be able to physically manage Z- with patience. we find running in the yard and playing on the trampoline with him helps. Also playing with toys and puzzles. Making sure he gets afternoon snacks. Mother will be home most days but she is immobile at least for the next month or two. Experience with similar special needs kids will be really helpful.

I’m looking for a after school educator/carer for my 9yrs old autism boy, he is very kind and never make trouble with others, he is able to manage his daily tasks such as shower himself and go to the toilet, eat well and always quite happy. The educator will need a Certificate 3 in Early Education or takes care of him after school hours, main tasks are, pick him up when his school transport is arrived near my home(one min walk), take him home and have a break for his afternoon snacks, after that take him out to the park nearby for a walk or ride his bikes by himself . After the play take him home for 30mins literacy learning( basic math or English in yr1 ). The working hours will be 3pm-6pm from Monday to Friday. He is very easy to take care of and there is no food allergies or other illnesses. In general, he is a healthy and happy autism boy but his school learnings are lag behind his peer group.
