Start: ASAP Location: Hawthorn Pay $30-$33/hour all inclusive depending on experience Day/Hrs: Fridays 8.30am– 4pm. We are looking for an experienced, fun and reliable nanny to care for our 2 children on Fridays whilst myself and husband are working from home. Our son is 4 (nearly 5) and autistic – he’s verbal, well-functioning, has a beautiful smile, loves his younger sister and has a delightfully cheeky but fun nature. Our daughter is 2 and loves hanging out with her big brother, is toilet trained (she’s a ‘big girl’, so she tells me!) and loves being outdoors. Our ideal nanny would have childcare qualifications, experience in a childcare, education or special needs (ASD) and an ability to engage our children in activities and happy to get out with the kids. They both love playing with train tracks, going for bike rides, parks/playgrounds and any type of sensorial activity. They also love a good ‘kids’ show on TV and we’re happy after a long week to indulge here and there. There will also be occasional babysitting on weekends and other times during the week (after kinder/daycare hours) as we both work full time and need some extra help every now and then! Our son has 2 x therapy sessions on the Friday (8-9am and 12-1pm) which my husband or I attend with him at home, so the nanny would be required to look after my daughter solo during those times. Other responsibilities: Child-related housework such as tidying toys, putting away their washing, meal preparation, baths and the odd errand. You will have: A WWCC First Aid Certificate Recent police check Refrences a must Experience looking after toddlers and ASD children highly preferred but not required We’re a super loving family with both of us highly engaged with our kids – we have the upmost respect for what you do and you will be treated accordingly. We have a nanny currently looking after them on 2 other days who cannot do Friday. She would be happy to give you a reference of us as a family too (goes both ways, right?!).
