Looking for Nanny/Babysitter help for a couple weeks over summer holidays.

by Jeffrey • Canberra
We are a Canadian family moving to Canberra in January. We have 2 children, a 5 year old on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and an infant. My wife will be home caring for the infant, but we need some extra assistance with the 5 year old during the days. Owen is an energetic 5 year old who loves playing at parks, coloring, playing with Play-Doh, etc. He is very self sufficient, but his energy levels make it difficult for my wife to fully care for him and our infant son as well.

A helper for our lovely 17 year-old girl
NEW

by James • Canada Bay
Hi. We're looking for a helper for our K, now 17, who has just started Year 11. She loves Drama, French, Music, and singing - and she walks with a walking-frame due to cerebral palsy. We are looking for someone who could do after-school pick-ups on some Tuesdays, Wednesdays, or Thursdays on alternate weeks. The helper would need a driver's licence. Their own car would be useful but not essential - the most important thing is a good connection with K. If it works for K and the helper, we would hope that this role could continue for at least 12 months.

After school carer required for verbal and very self-sufficient ASD teenager.

by Joel • Bankstown
Hello, My name is Joel. My family has just moved to Panania and am seeking a casual sitter for my son, F (14), for after school care. I would need someone to be at my house about 2:30pm daily to receive F from his school bus service and stay with him until I get home from work which should be just before 4pm. He is a self-sufficient teenager who will probably fix himself a snack and head to his room to play on his laptop. F is a great, fun, good-natured boy who is on the autism spectrum (ASD) and has ADHD. He is verbal, has a few odd ticks and eccentricities but is very easy to manage especially when a report has been established. I will try my very best to keep this schedule as it is but it may change slightly and on the odd day as I may be running late etc so I ask for some flexibility. Monday: 2:30pm – 4:00pm (14:30-16:00) 1.5 hours Tuesday: 2:30pm – 4:00pm (14:30-16:00) 1.5 hours Wednesday: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (14:30 – 18:00) 3.5 hours Thursday: 2:30pm – 6:00pm (14:30 – 18:00) 3.5hours Friday: 2:30pm – 4:00pm (14:30 – 16:00) 1.5hours Saturday: Free Sunday: Free I need a sitter who is calm, sensitive to his special needs and happy to watch over him. I look forward to hearing from you and if you have any questions or would like to familiarize yourself with him and our household I’d be happy to accommodate that. If you can't work every weekday afternoon you can just let me know the days you are available and I can job share with another sitter.
