Looking for Nanny/Babysitter help for a couple weeks over summer holidays.

We are a Canadian family moving to Canberra in January. We have 2 children, a 5 year old on the Autism Spectrum Disorder and an infant. My wife will be home caring for the infant, but we need some extra assistance with the 5 year old during the days. Owen is an energetic 5 year old who loves playing at parks, coloring, playing with Play-Doh, etc. He is very self sufficient, but his energy levels make it difficult for my wife to fully care for him and our infant son as well.
$141 - $1815 days, 5 Hr.

Looking for a part time nanny to manage before school and after school responsibilities for 4 kids.
by Jessica • Dunlop
Dear Care Professional,
We are a family of six and are currently experiencing our first year with me (Jess) working full time. We are looking for a Care Professional who would come in October/November when I start my new job.
We live in Canberra (Dunlop), close to the brindabellas and great walking tracks, shops and public transport.
Our family consists of L (4 years old), E (7 years old), V (9 years old), L (almost 11 years old), Myself (Jess, 29 years old) and my future husband/not the kids bio dad Eliot (42 years old). My partner and I both work full-time, which is the reason we need someone to look after the kids before and after school. I work in Real Estate and Eliot is a business Analyst. We work regular business hours and are out of our home 8:30am-5:30pm, Monday- Friday.
L is a bit delayed due to the diagnosis of ASD level 3 and he is non verbal. He got his diagnosis when he didn't talk at 2 years of age. It means that he had some autistic symptoms, primarily communication. He is cuddly, sweet, playful and very happy.
L receives speech therapy, which is 25 minutes away from our home, as well as special education at home once a fortnight- we manage this however.
V, L and E have no problems, talk a lot, are funny, loving, love cuddles, hugs, and kisses, and loves animals. E has ADHD so has a lot of energy and loves to engage, amd also needs regular prompting to go to the bathroom, clean her hands afterwards and bathe.
Our Care Professional's responsibilities will include driving the kids to school/childcare and preparing breakfast and their lunchboxes, playing with them, keeping them engaged, talking to them, preparing after school snacks or dinner, and feeding them. She/he will clean up after them and after preparing the meals (putting dishes away and keeping kitchen clean), and take care of their laundry. We have a fortnightly house cleaner so cleaning duties are not a priority. Our Care Professional's work hours would typically take place Monday-Friday, before and after school (approx 4 hours per day)
We also have 3 friendly dogs so being a dog person is a must.
We hope to hear back from you soon. Please let me know if you are interested in talking to me over the phone.
Sincerely,
Jess

Needing a babysitter or nanny for my 5y/o twins. Both are autistic with moderate support needs however our home is set up to meet their needs so the main support that would be needed is around communication (further info can be provided). Otherwise they generally enjoy doing arts/crafts and playing games on their ipads. We are a 2-mum gender diverse family so need someone with understanding of working with LGBTQIA+ people. I need someone available on a semi-regular/casual basis.

I'm looking for a carer who can support my 8-year old daughter with before and after school care every Monday. She is non-verbal, requires support with toileting. As she is not aware of dangers, I need someone who is responsible, kind and caring who can supervise and be with her. Pick up and drop off to school is required.

We're looking for a carer available regularly, potentially long-term, to support us in caring for our two wonderful boys (6 and 3 yrs old).
We are looking for at least 12 hours/week, possibly up to 16. These hours may be shared between two carers.
Weekdays: ~2:30-5:30pm - most likely Monday, Tuesday and/or Thursday; (could stay for dinner if that works).
Weekends: 3-4 hours Saturday or Sunday afternoon - somewhat variable and negotiable.
References, WWVP card required; experience and understanding of Autism/ADHD highly desirable.
Patience, creativity and open-mindedness are essential for working with us to care for our boys. They have some challenging behaviours at times. You will need to learn about their unusual brains; show initiative, come up with ideas, change plans, think laterally, go with the flow; and be a fast-thinking, responsive 'wingman' for one or both parents when things get tricky.
Duties may include: school pickups; taking one or both boys to after school activities nearby; home care (craft, games, stories, etc); going to local parks; keeping one child busy while a parent manages a meltdown; taking boys for emergency Maccas drive-thru...
When the kids are chill and at least one parent is around, we'd want you to look for ordinary household tasks to do. If suitable, you could potentially replace our regular cleaner, starting earlier on one weekday.

I am needing someone to look after my children on a Monday and Tuesday afternoon whilst I am at work.
I need them between the hours of 3pm (for pick up) to 5pm/5:30pm when I return home.
A car is preferable but if ok with catching bus with children then that is fine too.
