We are looking for a professional nanny for our 16 month old son starting in October. Our previous nanny who has been with us since my son was 4 weeks old has become like one of our family, and she is transitioning into her career after graduating from Uni-- so we'd really like to find someone who nannies as their occupation in order to minimize transition of caregivers for our son, and develop a more lasting connection with someone who can stay on for the longterm. We are looking for someone who has extensive experience and knowledge of child development and someone who loves to engage children in various activities to support their learning. Our son loves to interact with other kids, he loves being outside, playing and exploring--so we are looking for someone who would enjoy interacting with him in this way. The days we are looking for are Wednesday's and Thursday's, generally from 8-4pm, although there might be some weeks where we would ask for a later end time due to my work calls. There might be opportunity for a third day during the week, so some flexibility is appreciated, though not required. There would be some light housekeeping-- like washing and drying my son's clothes and putting them away, and prepping some meals for him during the day. What's most important to me is that we are a personality match and that you also feel a natural connection to my son because I think those make the best long-term fits.
