Hi, let me introduce you to our boys. H is 4 in November, he is on the Autism Spectrum and is non-verbal. H (or H or H ) is a lovely, gentle, funny little boy who loves cuddles, playing outside and anything to do with cars. R is 2 in November and he is a rambunctious little boy with a zest for life. He has big feelings and wants to engage in any activity his big bro is engaging in. R (or R or R ) loves balls, riding bus trike and playing outside. Our boys play fairly well together and enjoy days filled with a mix of indoor structured activities and outdoor free play. We are looking for a Nanny for several dates in October from 7am - 3pm while I complete some employment related training. This work is likely to become ongoing (but from 9am - 3pm) from late November. We would like to see someone working with the boys who has some kind of qualifications in Early Childhood Education and experience running structured activities, we are not looking for someone who will just sit around all day and not actually engage on a meaningful level with our children. We do not require you to have experience with special needs children however if you do that’s an added bonus. We have a number of therapists working with H who are always happy to provide educational sessions to assist in your care with H so a willingness to attend a few sessions with us would be fantastic. Ideally this will become a long term arrangement so we are looking for someone to become part of our family. Our ideal applicant would be someone who has had / has children of their own. We are open to your children being included as part of our care arrangement if they are not in daycare / school on the days we arrange care. We would like to arrange a meet and greet to ensure you are the right fit before locking anything in so this is something applicants would need to be open to as well. We are searching for a nurturing and responsible nanny for 2 kids with Autism. I will be at home but I’ll be working so I need someone that can play with them & do some light house duties & get their snacks. Taking the kids to some appointments will also be required. Both are very sweet but my son can sometimes get upset and make loud noises. He is big for his age and likes hugs and getting close so you need to be comfortable with that.
