Experienced, Honest, Reliable, Quality Care For Pets - Pet Sitter/Dog Walker - As My Full-Time Business

(18)
Hi! I'm an educated, mature, married woman, have my own car, have pets of my own, a flexible schedule & do this as my full-time business. I earned my American Red Cross CPR/1st Aid Certification for Dogs & Cats on 4-6-13. I have a degree from U of I (Champaign-Urbana) & a Paralegal diploma in CA. I love animals, especially house pets. I'd do everything in my power to keep yours safe, healthy & happy, in an owner's absence. My first 2 years at U of I was in Pre-Vet classes, but changed my major. While living at home years ago, I grew up raising Shelties (dogs), bred/showed champion rabbits nationally & raised finches/doves, also. My husband & I currently have 5 felines (8 months up to 14 years old). Our almost 18-year-old dog, Megan, & 16-year-old cat, Asia, had both become "special needs" (due to being geriatric), when they passed away earlier in 2013. In the same 6 month period of 2013, we lost a 4-month-old kitten, Grayson, whom we had adopted through a rescue. He had to be euthanized only 2 weeks after getting him. Sadly, no one realized at the time of adoption, that he was just starting to show symptoms of a 100% fatal kitten disease. Per our vet's recommendation, I had changed my care for an elderly dog/cat, as Megan become blind/deaf with dementia/mobility issues. And, Asia had Stomach Cancer, with more advanced medical needs, including an IV bag hanging in the bathroom. For months, I gave her treatments of fluids under the skin, every other day, to help prevent dehydration. I've previously had fresh water fish tanks, a wild Canadian goose, & a squirrel. The last 2 we released after rehabbing them. I'm Federal, State, & Multi-County background checked through FEMA & Homeland Security-which far exceeds any site screening. I'm honest, reliable, dependable & experienced. I have excellent references, even if not connected through this site-you can contact them, also. My rates are comparable to those in the area, and vary-depending on factors like: Distance/location, duties, frequency of visits, quantity & needs of pets, etc. & is fair to both parties. Services usually double as "house sitting," also. I bring in mail/papers/packages; put in/out the garbage on trash day, etc. Thank you for your consideration! I look forward to hearing from you & an opportunity to care for your cherished family pet(s).

Full-Time Nanny

(4)
Hi! My name is Patti. I have over 25 years of childcare experience. I have a BA in Liberal Arts from the University of Illinois with a focus on Sociology/Children & Families. I began my career as a lead teacher at a Learning Center in Illinois. My room was the 2-year-old room, but I did substitute in other rooms periodically. After my daughter was born, I opened a licensed home daycare, originally in Illinois and then in 2002 in Tucson. I cared for newborns all the way up to 10-year-olds and everything in between! We read, did dramatic play, did a lot of art and arts & crafts, did a lot of singing and dancing, and I had a preschool program I used with the preschool age children. I had the home daycare for almost 12 years. Since then, I have been a nanny for individual families. One child was 7 months old when I started. I cared for him until he was about 20 months old and still watch him from time to time. I cared for twin girls who were 6 months old when I started caring for them and I continued to care for them until they were 14 months old. I cared for a 3-month-old girl and then her baby brother until they were 3 and 1, and once in a while their older twin brothers. Most recently I cared for a little girl who was 19 months old when I started and just started preschool at 27 months. I offer a loving, safe, creative environment filled with opportunities for learning, exploring, growing, and having fun. I offered a wide range of age appropriate activities for the children. I watched many of the children from infant/toddler until they went to kindergarten and loved every minute of it. My goal is to make sure the parents feel as comfortable as possible going to work, knowing their child/children are safe, loved and well cared for with an experienced nanny. And to make sure the child/children have happy days where they know they're loved and feel safe and grow well. I'm comfortable with pets, have my own car (with insurance), have my CPR and First Aid training and can provide references upon request.
