I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2013 and will be attending Harvard for my graduate studies starting fall of August 2016. Hello there! I'm a seasoned tutor and teacher with a degree in English from Berkeley! As far as my tutoring skills go, I have privately tutored students in everything from math to reading comprehension and essay writing at the elementary through undergraduate levels. I've been tutoring since I was 16, so I am very comfortable with homework help and catering my lessons and approaches to the needs of a particular student. I also assistant taught English as a foreign language abroad for two years and substitute taught in California for one year, so I'm also comfortable with lesson planning and curriculum development. I do have a 9-5, but I've been missing working with students and caregiving, so I'm looking to take on short-term and one-time opportunities in the evenings and weekends. Hello! I'm originally from the Santa Barbara area, and after having gone away for college and living in SE Asia for a few years, I've settled Norwalk, CA. A little about me: I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2018 with a degree in Linguistics and a minor in Education. During my 4 years in Bay Area, I taught elementary, middle school, and high school STEAM, as well as reading literacy. After graduating, I moved to Thailand for a new adventure. I am certified in teaching English (TESOL credentialed) and have taught others how to teach. During my time in Thailand, I taught at a Finnish preschool that focused on learning through play and exploration. Hi! I am a trained birth and postpartum doula currently working on finishing up my certification. I have lots of experience with babysitting, nannying, and I currently finishing up my year as an au pair. I graduated from UC Berkeley in 2023 with degrees in Biology and Social Welfare and plan on returning to school in a few years to become a midwife.
