Hi my name is Kani and i'm a recent graduate from university of the arts in philadelphia. I am an artist that creates dances/ choreography, paintings, drawings, and digital art. I am really interested in critical theory and understanding how it applies to real life. I also have experiencing teaching. I taught 9th grade English at valor college prep in Tennessee. This year I began teaching 1st grade at Elementary but I realized I wanted to have time to study for my life insurance license so I decided not to teach full time!

Hello! My name is Mark. I am currently a lead toddler teacher and I love what I do. I have 3 years experience teaching 13-month-olds to 3 years olds. Prior to that, I was working with 3 to 5-year-olds as a mental health worker. While I was in grad school for art education, I worked with elementary school kids up to high schoolers. I also have experience working with children with special needs. I believe young children learn through play and observations. I think as an educator it is my duty to engage children in activities that are stimulating, encouraging growth, equality, morals, and at the same time allowing children to independently explore and discover things about the world and how they work. Children also learn through their own peers. I encourage children to be considerate and to be caring to each other as they develop compassion and consideration for each other. I believe visual art can be used as a great teaching tool and can allow children to learn and grow.

Hello! I just completed my third year at the University of the Arts, where I am a dance major. Due to COVID, the college is planning remote instruction, and I have decided to take this fall semester off. I have been practicing careful social distancing, and I'd like to spend this time helping a family who is doing the same. As a dancer, most of my experience with children has been teaching dance classes and camps to preschool and elementary children. I have also spent considerable time volunteering at our local elementary school, where my mother was a teacher/reading specialist for over 35 years. I'd love to help with virtual learning (have a personal consultant!), play games, do crafts, read, dance, cook, play outdoors, and visit parks. I have child abuse/FBI clearances, and plan to get First Aid/CPR certifications. I have been avoiding public transportation and would like a position within walking distance, for my safety and yours.

Hello, my name is Emily and I am a compassionate, patient, fun loving caregiver eager to help your family during these stressful times. I have a total of 18 years of experience babysitting, with ages ranging from infant-11 years old, and 9 years of tutoring from 2nd-9th grade. Interactive choices and empowering others to be confident in their own freewill while still being respectful and honoring of those around them is key. I approach everything with the children's best interest in heart, always remaining mindful and respectful to you and yours. I have a background in the arts, design, and museum field. My interests include arts and crafts, science, reading and writing, cooking, and music. And with regards to Covid, I always adhere to sanitation and safety policies and I would bring that same level of care and professionalism to work.

Growing up, I often took care of my younger cousin when his mother went to work everyday. As well as having 6 years of experience teaching and watching over students that take dance classes. These students range from 2 1/2-17 years old. I am currently a Junior at The University of the Arts in Center City, and I am majoring in Dance.

My experience includes the following: Summer 2014: Hall Director at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet 5 week summer program. I overlooked 8 Resident Assistants and 160 kids ranging from 11-14 years old. Summer 2014: CPR & First Aid Certified Current: During winter and summer break I babysit for a family back home. Ages are 10 and 13. Previously: I often took care of toddlers at my church during activities. 2012-Present: Resident Assistant at the University of the Arts. I work as a resource for the university residents, host weekly events, and document any situations that occur in the dormitory. 2012-Present: UArts Salsa Club, President and Lead Instructor (weekly lessons to students and public) 2012-Present: UArts Annual Masquerade Ball, Head Coordinator. I organize the annual Spring Dance that invites 300+ students and guests to a night of dancing, refreshments, and entertainment 2012-2013: Worked as an "Activities Assistant" at an Adult Day Center for Senior Citizens. There, I was responsible for hosting activities, serving/preparing meals, and keeping the clients occupied. 2012: Resident Assistant at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. This 5-week sleep-away camp had me directly responsible for 20 girls ages 11-14, and responsible in overseeing (along with other Resident Assistants) 100+ participants. High school: I volunteered a summer at a preschool/nursery in North Jersey.
