I'm currently looking for a part-time nanny/care attendant position. The family I currently work for are leaving to move back to France in July. I've worked for them for a year. I took care of their two children after school and tutored them. I graduated from college last year with a Psychology degree. I'm currently trying to figure out what I want to go to grad school for. As of right now I would like to eventually go back to school to get a degree in Special Education. One thing I have learned from this past year as a nanny, is I can teach. The children I watched are french and their second language is English. So their were many moments when things they learned in school were not clear. In the meantime, I've found being a nanny to be fulfilling and a lot of fun. I enjoy working with children. I love to have fun with kids. I'm not one to sit a child in front of a TV. I love to interact with them. I'm a pretty crafty person and enjoy doing crafts with kids. I also love to cook and bake. It's fun getting kids involved. I have some experience with special needs children. A year and a half ago I took care of a little boy who has autism and an array of other disorders in the town where I attended school. He has been a joy and I have been so blessed to have him and his family in my life. It has also been a wonderful learning experience. Over the course of the year I worked with a severely autistic boy and a little girl that is autistic as well but very high functioning. I also have excellent references if needed.

I am 31 years old, and I love being in the caregiving business! have experience with caregiving for children with disabilities, adults with disabilities, nannying and babysitting, and animal sitting. I also have a lot of volunteering experience with children of all ages, and have completed teaching an elementary summer day camp class. I do not smoke, and I have high morals. As a swim coach I work with the kids who need extra attention, This includes kids with Down syndrome and Autism. I find working with the special needs children to be more fulfilling as special needs individuals can be the most joyful people you've ever met!
