I cared for my mother for three years in my home after she had an accident and could no longer live independently. I am familiar with the difficulties that face seniors and the genuine heartache that comes with the loss of independence, through no fault of their own. I know that the isolation that sometimes occurs when you can no longer drive, or are unable to ambulate like you used to, can be devastating. Since my mother passed away last year, I've been assisting family friends, with driving to appointments, gardening, painting, light housekeeping and just plain old conversation and companionship. I enjoy this and feel like I am filling a need, while helping them to maintain some independence. Changes are inevitable, but they can be positive, and if you are in the company of someone who genuinely cares and listens with an empathetic ear, it can make the transition a little less stressful. My mother taught me to treat everyone as you would want to be treated, and I like to think I treat everyone the way I would have wanted my mother to be treated.

I am currently a nanny for a 4-month-old and 3-year-old. I work Monday-Friday 8-5 p.m. so I'm looking for weekend jobs. I was a Lead Preschool Teacher. Assists with classroom activities, meal times and implementation of developmentally appropriate lesson plans. Maintains a healthy and engaging early childhood learning environment as well as a clean and risk-free room arrangement. Gears the activity to needs of the individual child, with concern for their interest, challenges, special talents and pace of learning. Interacts with the children to encourage their development and involvement in activities and treats each child with dignity and respect. I have over 50 years experience working with children in a variety of settings, including babysitting, day care, preschool and elementary school. Additionally, I have over 20 years of experience as a lifeguard, pool manager, swimming and lifeguarding/CPR/First Aid instructor. (Although not currently certified.) I am a retired teacher from NJ, working as a substitute teacher I'm looking for childcare employment for the summer, possibly carrying over to weekends and school breaks. I am a single mom of a college student. I love the outdoors: the beach, camping, swimming, hiking, snow skiing. I attend sporting events, concerts and festivals in my spare time. Hey there! My name is Kyle and I am currently looking for a full-time position. I graduated from Lock Haven University with my degree in Therapeutic Recreation. I also have several credits toward my early childhood and special education degrees. While attending LHU, I was involved in theater, dance, choir, and multiple sports. I also have a little one of my own! I absolutely love working with children, as I am a huge kid at heart myself. I enjoy being outdoors, creating and building things, arts and crafts with my daughter, dancing, singing, and anything sports related. I also have experience babysitting and tutoring. In my past roles I served as the head tutor on my school's campus where I assist student's with their social, emotional and academic skills and goals and also was a physical education teacher. Hi! My name is Deb. I babysit in my home in Linden. I graduated from Lock Haven in 1989 with a degree in Early Childhood Ed. I taught pre-school and pre-kdg classes before becoming a stay-at-home-Mom in 1994. I have 4 older children of my own (2 in middle school, 1 in college and 1 out of school). I have been babysitting in my home for the past 18+ years. I currently babysit other children, so your child will have playmates. I've watched children as young as 2 months, as old as 15 years, and every age in between. I've helped kids go from bottles to sippy cups, from fingers to silverware and from diapers to underwear. I really enjoy the younger kids(birth-2). I like watching them grow and learn things like crawling, walking, talking, & feeding themselves! I also enjoy the older kids(3-5). I like teaching them counting, ABC's, coloring & sharing. I like to encourage independence in young kids, while at the same time, being right there to guide them along the way. We do a lot of puzzles, coloring and building with various types of toys. There's something here for everyone, even infants! We have nap from 1:00-3:00 daily. I have a fenced in playground, great for safe outdoor play. I provide all meals, snacks & drinks (except for those things needed by infants-parents supply those things). I am a recent college graduate with a degree in health and physical education. For the past 5 years, I have spent the summers working as a playground counselor. In my time working there, I was responsible for watching 30 plus children with the assistance of 3 other counselors. Throughout the day we would play board games, make crafts, and do physical activities. I have experience dealing with children who have severe allergies and special needs. I am also certified in CPR and first aid.
