I am a nursing major at Kent State University and I am looking to get more experience in care-giving! I have spent the last two summers working with a special needs child (40 hours a week). He suffers from ataxia autism, ADHD and difficulty speaking/communicating. In the past, I have also volunteered to assist with Special Olympics and other programs giving me the opportunity to interact with a variety of special needs children. I have a lot of experience with special needs, so I am interested in finding more experience! I would love to help out anywhere I am needed.

I am 30 years old. I have nannied for many families over the past few years and I have also worked as an infant teacher at a daycare. The age group that I worked with at the daycare was from 0-10 mths. The age group I have worked with nannying is 0- 6years. I have nannied and babysat for a lot of the parents at the daycare I worked for as well as outside of the daycare. I have a reliable car, I can meal prep and I love art so I will constantly be thinking of fun and creative things for the kids to do. I am also comfortable with pets and have a bachelors degree from Kent State university.

Hi, I'm Susannah! I'm an elementary school teacher in my 9th year of teaching. I taught PreK for 4 years, reading for a few years, and spent one year homeschooling some children during covid. In addition to my teaching experience, I have also held multiple nanny and babysitting positions in the past. I have experience with all ages. I have been told many times that I have "a lot of patience" and I take pride in my ability to connect and build relationships with children. Being healthy and active is an important part of my life, so I like to try to share that with children as well. I love getting kiddos outside as much as possible by drawing with chalk, going for walks/hikes, and going on trips to local parks. I have been a full-time nanny for the last 5 years. I knew since I was a little girl that I wanted to take care of children. I come from a large family of 9 and I would help take care of my younger siblings. I started babysitting at the age of 12 for all the families in my neighborhood. I would bring over board games and popcorn and the children loved it - I loved it! During junior and senior year of high school, I attended an early childhood education vocational program. The vocational center included a pre-school for 3 and 4-year-olds. I learned how to write lesson plans and create activities for healthy early childhood development. After graduating from high school, I worked in the infant room of a daycare center for 3 years. This was very fun. Taking care of 6 little babies can be exhausting, but very rewarding. During my time at the daycare, I realized that I wanted to do more, learn more, and just be more. I decided to attend Kent State University with a major in Early Childhood Education. While attending college I came to a crossroads: I realized I didn't want to teach in the classroom, but still wanted to work with children. At this point I wasn't sure what program to major in. I came to the conclusion to take some time off school and do a year of service in Oakland, California. In Oakland, I volunteered in a homeless shelter, an elementary school and the Children's Hospital. I learned a lot about myself, who I am as a person, and what I wanted to do for a living. It made me realize I love serving people. I wanted to serve people for the rest of my life, so I decided to go to the English Nanny and Governess School. I attended and graduated in December of 2006 and have been a full-time nanny ever since. I can honestly say, that I love my job! I love working with parents and kids. Kids bring so much joy to me. Everyday when I wake up, I'm excited for what's in store. I giggle and can be silly with the children, but I don't take my job lightly. I honestly enjoy watching the kids develop. Every experience is exciting for them and I love to watch them succeed. I hope I'm the nanny your family is looking for!
