I am 37 years old and I would love to babysit for your family. I have been babysitting for 17 years (including for families with special needs children) and I am certified in CPR. I love running (I just finished my third marathon), traveling (I just got back from Europe), reading and concerts. I came from a big family that is very close so I am excellent at handling a lot of noise and chaos.

I currently live in Chicago, IL and work as a teacher at Fusion Academy. Most recently I was a middle school Social Studies teacher in Detroit, Mi before moving out here! Before teaching middle school I taught preschool (18 months and 4-5 years) for a year and a half. Before that I nannied for 4 years with two different families. One family had 5 children aged newborn to 14, and the other had three kids 2, 4 and 7. I come from a large family, four sisters and a brother, and have been looking after them and various cousins all my life. I have worked as a nanny for a few families when I was younger in providing care during date nights, etc. I am a trained lifeguard, with several years of swim lesson experience. I coached for a youth rowing club in Indianapolis and coached collegiate level rowing teams for 3 and a half years! I truly love working with kids, which is why I have become a teacher. I enjoy helping children learn as they play, and be active both inside and outside.

I became a CNA, (licensed in IN), in 2010 after realizing the difference a good aide could make in the lives of patients and their families. I spent a great deal of time in hospitals and rehab/extended care facilities with my own family members so, I know the challenges of making sure they get the best care. I'm also aware of what it takes to enable them to stay in their own home. I was first hired as a private duty CNA by the family of my elderly neighbors, both of whom have now passed. During my time with them I provided all aspects of care for them, their home and their very messy kitty. I attended all doctor appointments and worked closely with their nurses and doctors to monitor their health. The most fulfilling aspect of my time with them was becoming part of the family. I have since worked for seven other families much in the same way.

I relocated from NYC to LA last October. I attended Indiana University (Bloomington); Major in Communication/Culture & Minor in Music. I'm currently taking classes to pursue a degree in Childhood Education. While doing so, I also want to have a job in childcare. I'm enthusiastic about working in the field & being able to foster an environment with experiences that will enrich day to day lives. My education, experience, skill-set & moreover, passion, make me who you've been looking for. WORK EXPERIENCE: #1. Scribble Art Workshop-A renowned program with notability for implementing teaching methods from a unique philosophy, mission & movement in art education... The children within this program are not "just" students, but artists. There is a focus on unleashing their inner artist, especially during the most pivotal stages of development. I was an assistant teacher in a toddler & elementary classes in flat art, costume design, sculpture, photography, mixed media, etc. I also helped with the art exhibits where the kids masterpieces were showcased in venues throughout NYC. The money raised from these sales financed lower income students to enroll in the program. Essentially, the kids used their art to "sponsor a scribble." This enriching experience gave my little artists a remarkable sense of accomplishment. #2. Kings Bay Y-As an after-school art teacher I planned, designed & implemented an art program while coordinating a curriculum. I also managed the space; transportation, activity preparation, homework & energizers. I provided a safe & healthy environment while offering guidance with the development of their mind, body & soul. The most rewarding part of this was forming special relationships with my kids. #3. Pierce Country Day Camp-As a counselor for 2 summers for boys age group 3-4, I maintained a high level of supervision. As a group leader, I was enthusiastic, caring & supportive. I served as a strong positive influence in the lives of these kids. #4. Babysitting-I babysat for 3 kids for 4 years. With 3 different age groups came different interests that I learned to be attentive to while doing activities that everyone would enjoy.

I have been working with children for approximately 8 years, from assistant teaching in a preschool, to childcare supervision of 20+ children ages newborn - 6 years old. I love children of all ages and I am ready and willing to play, talk, and entertain children of all types. I am currently a full-time law student, set to graduate in May of 2023. I am looking for occasional babysitting, on some weeknights and weekends. I would love to help out a family who is wanting to have a night out or needs to attend an evening event!

Hello! I found I love working with kids as a summer camp counselor, and now have spent six years in professional childcare with children between 3 months and 8 years old. I love working on children's overall development, starting with speech / sign, artistic play, and incorporating social skills and sensory play. My focus is meeting children where they are & creating a strong relationship that is the foundation of important work, such as discipline and learning. I'm currently in the OHSU/West Hills area of Portland. I do not have a vehicle.
