I have been a caregiver fir 6 years. I will be retiring from my full-time, corporate job in May and plan to become caregiver and make a positive difference in someone's life. I am certified as a Biology Teacher and also having several years experience teaching MCAS preparation, I am eager to continue educating this coming school year. For the last six years, I have been teaching in public and private schools and also tutoring. This year, it is my goal to tutor individually or in small group settings, rather than a classroom. I believe I have much to offer because of my life experience, including many years of travelling, gaining knowledge in Ecology, environmental conservation, and working with a variety of age groups. I am currently attending an Associate's Degree in Nursing Program at Northern Essex Community College. I have just completed my first year in the program. I am taking this year off from Nursing School to get some additional clinical experience by acquiring a job as a Nursing Assistant in a hospital on the weekends. During my first year of Nursing school, I had six clinical rotations. My rotations consisted of the following: *Long-Term Care Rotation *Two Medical-Surgical Rotation *Telemetry Rotation *Pediatrics Rotation *Maternity Rotation During these rotations, I took care of many senior citizens with varying degrees of illness. I am CPR certified and have a letter from my school describing my experience with Nursing skills. I have a neighbor who is 81 years old who was diagnosed with breast cancer two years ago. During this time I took her to all of her chemotherapy appointments. I also took her to all her other doctor's appointment, did grocery shopping for her and assisted her husband who has early-stage dementia. I could give her as a reference if needed. I entered this line of work because I have a passion for helping seniors during their golden years. I am also a Christian and I believe this is what God wants each of us to do, to help those who may not be able to help themselves!

I have had extensive experience in working with children which includes being a part-time and full-time nanny, teacher, camp counselor, and daycare worker. When I was a camp counselor, I actually was responsible for the nature class and became the Nature Instructor at Pine Tree Summer Camp. I created a unit with mainly science activities, but had other subjects in there as well dealing with nature and animals. I supplied animals for the campers to interact with, and we also observed the process of metamorphosis, and discussed the importance of taking care of the environment. I am energetic, loyal, dependable, and kind. In my personal life, I am organized and task driven, and I believe I can bring these qualities into any job as well.
