Hi! I am looking for a part time, recurring babysitting position for a family that needs a few evenings off here and there. I have a full time career in education, just looking for some additional income for my upcoming wedding. I have extensive babysitting experience, experience with adolescents, and am highly proficient in science subject areas - especially biology and marine science. I am CPR AED and first aid certified.

I am comfortable with all ages. I am also comfortable driving, cooking, picking up the house etc. I love kids and I also love animals. You can rely on me to be responsible, attentive, creative, active, fun and warm-strict with your kids. I provide dog sitting in your own home. I love dogs of all sizes and ages. I can perform baths, entertain, feed, walk, and restroom needs. I have two dogs of my own for the past 6 years. Before that, I would house and pet sit for a family back in 2014-2016

I graduated Eckerd College in 1996 with a degree in Elementary Education and am looking to supplement my income with tutoring or caregiving. I particularly enjoy helping people with special needs as I have mild cerebral palsy myself.

I have spent time with people at the end of life as well as the beginning--from hospice care to supporting women during childbirth. Beginning with my B. A. In Human Development and a self-designed emphasis in Women's Health, I studied the fundamentals of the care provider-client relationship, family systems theory, cross cultural communication, and administrative dynamics. These studies gave rise to an understanding of my own personal strategies for providing effective, holistic care. For the past eight years, I have worked with a wide range of clients, first as an in home caregiver and later as a certified nursing assistant. I have cared for people recovering from surgery, children with disabilities, and elderly clients with dementia. More recently, I was employed as part of a hospice team providing exceptional care to terminally ill patients. I found this work to be an incredibly rewarding and a potent opportunity to develop meaningful connections with people in their last months of life. Additionally, I am proficient in assisting with daily needs of living, assessing for client safety, maintaining records and observing physical and mental changes. I am also skilled at supporting and integrating families into client care, when appropriate. I have been fortunate to work with a wide variety of people and enjoy helping families to make their loved ones feel as comfortable as possible. As a nursing assistant, I can do personal care (such as bathing, nail care, and skin care), change non sterile dressings, change linens, and do basic housekeeping duties. Additionally, I provide respite and emotional support to the family/caregiver to whatever degree is necessary. Beyond basic personal care, it is important to me to specialize my services to each family and individual I work with. Recently, I have moved from Seattle, Washington to San Juan to pursue a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing where I will be growing my practical and interpersonal skills in this program. Over the years I have led & directed classrooms, sleep trained infants, encouraged development in children & managed households. I am a certified Newborn Care Specialist. I love the newborn stages. I utilize my knowledge & hands on experience to successfully sleep train infants & guide parents in healthy sleep practices for their baby. I have mastered the art of managing twin care. I enjoy using creativity to teach fun interactive lessons to children. I am able to transport children to & from school/activities (family car), prepare & serve meals, make baby food, do laundry & housekeeping pertaining to children. Hello! I am a Skagit valley/Bellingham nanny and postpartum Doula (Bastyr University Certified). Fully vaccinated. I find joy helping foster a love of reading, art, music and nature through self exploration and child driven, place based, learning. Enriching the lives of youth has been a driving force in my career choices since I entered the workforce. For over 11 years I have worked as a babysitter, nanny, swim instructor, and youth and family specialist. This has given me the opportunity to support families from a variety of backgrounds. While in college I nannied for a St. Petersburg family, caring for their three children daily after school and on occasional evenings. I truly enjoyed becoming a part of their family! Since then, I have babysat part time for several local families. Since graduating from Eckerd College in 2010, I have been employed by a local program for refugee children. I am responsible for planning and implementing engaging summer and after-school educational and enrichment activities. I tutor the children in school subjects while also teaching them about responsibility, tolerance, healthy living, and other topics to help them become well-rounded and succeed in their new lives here in the US.

I've been a childcare provider for over seven years. I'm passionate about caring for children and supporting families. I've had the privilege of working with children of all ages, from toddlers to preteens. I'm patient, calm, and always looking for creative and imaginative ways to engage children and help them learn and grow. I believe that open and honest communication is key to a successful childcare relationship. I also follow the parents' lead when it comes to enforcing household rules, as I believe that consistency is important for children. I enjoy playing a variety of games with children, including outdoor sports and physical games, board games and puzzles, and swimming. I'm also a certified lifeguard, so I'm comfortable taking children swimming. I have some college education, and I'm comfortable caring for up to four children at a time.
