I have over 10 years of experience in the field. I enjoyed working with children, and I am pet friendly. I love to do crafts and read. I have worked with children in the age of 3-9. I was responsible for maintaining a safe environment for the child, taking child to the park, play dates, feeding him, laundry, bathing, etc. I recently graduated from CSULB with a BA in Child Development and Family Studies.

I love kids! I don't have any of my own, so this is the closest that I get to them, other than my little cousins :) I am always trying to entertain them by playing with them, doing crafts, or any other games/activities! I love talking, asking questions, and being fun to be around. I can also be calm and quiet, when necessary :)

I have over 20 years experience working with children including being a nanny for a family with two small children for over 3 years and another for 2 years. In addition to being a nanny I have worked for the Boys and Girls Clubs where I held several positions including, Director of Teen services, Program Manager for a free preschool program, and Program Manager for a kids club. I have also worked at the YMCA where I ran a classroom of 30 children in an after school setting. I recently left a six year career where I worked with the homeless population , teaching adult life skills and running an after school program for teenagers to pursue higher education.

My professional experience as a nanny has been for three families. The age ranges of the children have been from 6 months old to 4 years old. I have a college education that includes child development. My personal experience is being the oldest child of 4. My siblings are as much as 11 years younger than I am. I earned a Bachelor's of Arts degree in Social Work. This degree focuses on the stages and quality of life. Also, the focus in the study of social work is to treat each person with respect and dignity while advocating for a vulnerable populations, such as children. I am a positive and a glass half-full person. I have been described by those in my life as creative, hardworking, open-minded, friendly, smart, easygoing, and flexible. I have experience in caring for 3 infants, at a different times, on a 24-hour basis. Also, toddlers and young children as a live-in summer nanny. I have been responsible for feeding's schedules, food preparation, night care, bathing, clothing, teething care, and bottle sanitation. I have also cared for a sick children, taking them to the doctor, and medication's schedules.

As a mother of three wonderful adult girls and six grandchildren between them, I know a great deal about babies and small children. In fact, with over 25 years of professional child care experience I provide more than the average babysitter or nanny. I love taking the children under my care for daily walks to the park, the beach or any place where fresh air and sunshine is available. This makes for happy, healthy babies. Their daily routine may include music, exercise and dance, learning colors and shapes, counting and letters. With the goal towards early kindergarten preparation. As a plus, I just so happen to be fluent in both English and Spanish with limited Japanese thrown in for fun. I also introduce the children to Sign Language as early as 12 months old. They will learn to sign words such as "More Please", "All Done", "Dog", "Cat", "Birds" and of course "Mom","Dad" and "Love". Daily story time for children of all ages, enhances their vocabulary and reading readiness. Not to mention, it is one of me favorite activities. I help them with seasonal crafts and art projects. Yes, more joy to be posted on the refrigerator door, for a proud mom and dad. And if requested, I can provide photos and short video's of special moments, such as, the child's first words, first steps, or just a day at the park. A little bit about me, I am a mother to a 3-year-old and an experienced caregiver. I am CPR and first aid certified with close attention on hazards for little ones. I love creating spaces for kids to do activities. I love to cook and meal prep as well.

I have been watching over my younger cousins since I was 13 and babysitting since I was 14. Recently, I worked for LAUSD, where I was responsible for watching a group of 30 kindergartners, assisting them with homework, Physical Education and arts and crafts. With that said, I am comfortable working with younger kids. I am now attending CSULB and have a pretty flexible schedule. Altogether, I am a very responsible, friendly and trustworthy person. I have been working as a school psychologist for 8 years. I have extensive background in academic instruction and interventions to with students with and without disabilities.

My experience consists of: watching twins (with an older sibling), newborns, being a chaperone for school field trips, and watching various school aged children. I'm a kid at heart, but I can be a disciplinarian, if needed. I'm always looking out for fun crafts & science experiments, kid friendly recipes, and new ways to build forts.
