Hi, my name is Karen, and I have had the pleasure of caring for the elderly for the past six years after being in the business world for over 25 years. This new path in my life has been such a wonderful experience for me! My insight has been a real eye-opener for me. Each client I have has held such memories and boy have I learned a lot from their life and experiences along the way. I realize it is the simple everyday things we take for granted in our busy days that these folks are looking for. Someone to talk to, listen, share stories with... just plain companionship is all these folks are looking for. Through my experiences I have spent time with both men and women, staying daily as well as overnight with them. I have cared for one client in here middle 50's with MS confined to a wheelchair and made her medicinal cocktails, administered medicines, gave massages, meals, and helped out with computer work. I've worked with dementia, partial blindness, broken hips, arms and those who just need everyday care from bathing, bathroom needs, meals, transportation, Dr. visits, walks, shopping, errands and just plain companionship. I have learned so much from them and their lives and families that I take away something of value from each client I have had the pleasure of knowing. There is something to be said for life's experiences! You will find I have many references and referrals that I will be more than happy to share with you and your families.

Two of my own children are out of the house in college and 2 are still home and are excellent students and athletes and they have great compassion for people.
