I enjoy animals, I assisted my mom with her small dogs, and my sister with her Cockatiel. I have watched over other friends' and family pets while they have been out of town. Right now I am available for Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays overnight. I do not board, but I will care for them in their own house, thus also house-sitting and keeping an eye on your home.

Oliver and I love going on walks and going to the park. Chloe, not so much. Some of my favorite pastimes are baking, floral design, home décor, and anything Disney, especially Disneyland. I have a great love for children, their education and care. I'm a student in college and studying to be an Elementary School teacher. I am a Child Development major. I have a lot of experience with ADHD (my younger brother and parents have been diagnosed). I also babysat my neighbors' kids when I was in high school and have recently done some professional observing/volunteer work in elementary classrooms. Children are one of the most fascinating things to me because they are extremely impressionable and can obtain so much knowledge at such a young age. My philosophy in life is to pour as much positivity and love into the world and I believe the best way to do that is through children. They will soak up anything you teach them so that is why it is important to teach them academics, manners, self-regulation skills, and proper social skills to give them a good foundation for the adults they will one day be. I am certified in First Aid and CPR for children and adults. Depending on the age of the children, I would plan developmentally appropriate activities that challenge their knowledge but also build their self-esteem. I am a very crafty person and actually enjoy scrapbooking and making homemade cards for my loved ones in my free time. I have been told that when people describe me to others they first talk about my optimistic nature and happiness. I pride myself on the fact that I am always a happy person and I see life s struggles as opportunities to grow stronger. I am also a very reflective person so I am always trying to be better than I was yesterday. My name is Lorraine and I have 30 plus years as a childcare provider. I truly enjoy what I do for a living. Not many people get to say that. I am a widow with 2 beautiful grown daughters. Do to the economy, I closed my family daycare I owned for 20 years and began to focus on working with children in their home as a Nanny. This allows for more one on one attention. Especially with infants. One of my hobbies is that I like to take classes that are related to the childcare profession, I have 20 ECE units and 20 nutrition units. I feel it is important to know where our food comes from so I plan age appropriate activities that feature lessons like gardening and cooking with the children I care for, as well as arts and crafts reading daily and educational games. There are outdoor activities daily when weather permits. I like to include age-appropriate lessons on nature.
