About Kiser Family Care: My name is Desiree and I have opened my home up as a daycare center for an infant (newborn-12 months). I live in a two bedroom apartment located on the second story of an in-law suite. We are located in Galena, Ohio next to Hoover. The kitchen, bathroom and stairs are blocked off with baby-gates and I have baby-proofed all electrical outlets, cords, etc. I have toys for each developmental stage for a child newborn to twelve months of age. Your child will sleep in a crib special for him/her in a room with a door that is able to close. I have a video monitor in the room that your child will sleep in. Depending on your child's age, I can provide healthy meals and will give you a meal plan for the week/days your child will be here. I keep my home very clean; I vacuum once a day, clean the bathroom every other day and dust once a week. A little about me: I am a mother of two children (two years and ten months) and am currently pregnant with my third child. I have been babysitting since I was ten years old and I helped out tremendously with my three younger siblings growing up. I have experience with children from newborn to fifteen years of age. While I am not CPR certified, I have taken great lengths to educate myself on the method for my own children, as well as those under my care. I have a current drivers license and my own vehicle which can be used for transportation for emergencies. About our home: I have two Great Danes and two cats. The dogs are enclosed in the kitchen area and are moved to another secure location during meals. Our cats free-roam the apartment, but are very gentle with children. We also have two fish tanks which can be endless entertainment for any age child.

I am a mother of two and a former preschool teacher. As a caregiver, it is my goal to provide your child with a loving, safe, and secure environment where they are free to explore and grow. I believe in establishing positive early experiences that prepare children for school and life through attention to physical health, emotional, social, and cognitive development, language, and motor skills. We love to learn through play and hands on experiences. Our program follows a preschool curriculum with monthly themes and units and a daily schedule. My home is filled with a variety of toys, learning tools, and and a fenced outdoor play area.

Child care workers nurture and care for young children, they also supervise older children before and after school. We play an important role in children's development by caring for them. In addition to attending to children's basic needs, child care workers organize activities and implement curricula that stimulate children's physical, emotional, intellectual, and social growth.

I just built a brand new home in Lewis center. It is so wonderfully set up for in-home daycare with a huge playroom that is on the main level. I can always keep an eye on the children even while prepping meals. I provide breakfast, lunch, and healthy snacks. I am a Christian mother of two children. We attend church every week. My kids are a 8-year-old daughter and a 4-year-old boy. I can service the Glen Oak school area and get the kids on and off the school bus. When you leave your children at my house, you will know you are making the right choice. It is newly built and very clean, but we also have toys galore. We love to play outside every single day that weather permits. We have a swing set and small children's pool for summer. We will have so much fun learning to count and sing our ABCs. I utilize awesome websites for reading and math when they are older kids. We have two iPads for fun toddler apps like tracing numbers and matching games and color/shape recognition. I am very creative with our craft ideas and also love teaching by way of sensory fun such as drawing letters in sand or shaving cream. My hours are 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. These are my set hours, but I am available for times outside of this for an additional fee so that you can work late, grocery shop, doctor appointments, or date night. I have so much more information to give, so feel free to contact me for anything you need. I look forward to hearing from you and giving your family a tour of our home.

Are you searching for a provider that you can count on, that goes above and beyond? For over 20 years, I have loved being an intricate part in the growth, development and nurturing of many children. Many are still a big part of my family. Working together with the families, we have experienced great success with potty training, walking, talking, transitioning from bottle to cup or no pacifier, fine gross motor skills, learning our numbers, letters, shapes, colors, object recognition along with socialization skills of sharing, caring, kindness and good manners. Our bright and enchanted storybook hollow playroom is full of exciting options to fill our day with fun and learning. I have many references from families (including several teachers) that I have provided care for in the past as well as currently. I am a Mom of 3 children. A daughter, 26, living on her own, a son, 20, who attends Harvard University and my youngest, a son who is about to graduate High School and will be attending Kent State with a goal to study abroad in Paris in 2 years. I live in North Columbus in the Forest Park area between Morse Rd and 161. About 8 minutes from Easton. I live on a very quiet cul de sac. If you are interested in chatting about your childcare needs, please give me a call at 614-284-1482. Thank you. Melissa

Hello! I opened my daycare eight years ago in my home after I adopted my second child. I was a foster parent for four years, during this time, I attended several training classes including First Aid and CPR, both of which I am still current in. I also went to College and completed three out of five years towards my Early Childhood Degree. However, life doesn't always take you in the direction that you thought! Now, I get the opportunity to follow my dream! In my home, your children will start out their morning by free play and eating breakfast. After that, we go to the playroom and we incorporate puzzles, books, musical instruments, flash cards as well exploring their imagination with forts, tents, etc. Around 11:30 a.m., we leave the play room and watch Sesame Street or another age appropriate show while I make lunch. During lunch, I play CD's of nursery rhymes and music. Nap/Quiet time is from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., depending on the needs and desires of the parent/child. When all the children are up, we have our afternoon snack and free play for the remainder of the day. During the nap/quiet period, if I have children who will not nap, I will introduce Play Doh, finger paints and also put in a Disney movie. My home is filled with age appropriate toys, as well as all the essentials a newborn/infant would need. Cribs, Pack and Plays, High Chairs, Strollers, Bouncers just to name a few! Our home is also equipped with fire extinguishers, carbon monoxide detectors, and ADT should an emergency develop. Also, whenever possible, I have a fenced in backyard where I have many outdoor toys such as a trampoline, monkey bars, slides, riding toys and a water table for the children to play with. I also have a sprinkler and several small kiddie pools. My hours are 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. I provide breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack. I also include the baby wipes for all children as well. My home is smoke/drug/alcohol free. We are pet friendly with a small dog and cat. I look forward to hearing from you!

I've worked as a child care professional for seven years. I first started child care in 2007, and quickly fell in love with everything that surrounds it. It is truly a field I have grown to excel in. In 2009, I graduated from the University of Phoenix with my Business Administration Degree and quickly returned to school to start my Associate's of Science Degree with Ashworth College. I graduated that program in 2012. In September of 2014, I became a Assistant Director in a childcare center and started overseeing the program. This included helping with all age group, 6 weeks-12 years, as well as working closely with Step Up to Quality. The reason for my change in career is simple, I want to provide education on a more individual basis, to better meet the children's needs. We are open from 6 am - 6 pm, Monday -Friday!

Erik says "My child's favorite part of going to applesauce and smiles (date nights) is the dog, Louie. At first she was a little nervous but he is such a sweet baby. Now...

I have a great group of children that are looking for a new playmate to share smiles, laughter, and fun. I have one full time opening for ages 1 1/2 to 4 years old. I have been providing child care in my home for 35 years. I began by caring for a neighbor's child while I was at home with my own young children. My plan was to enter the work force after the children began kindergarten, but, before they began kindergarten, another family in the neighborhood needed child care. And so began my career in child care. As the years went by, my children went to middle school, high school, and have finished college, and I still have "children at home". I fell into child care by accident, but after all these years, I still find it a fun way to spend each day! I strive to ensure a safe, nurturing, and homelike environment for the children in my care. We have a wonderful playroom for the children. This provides a fun and safe area that is just for the children. Our backyard offers outdoor fun for all! The yard is enclosed with a 6' privacy fence and the play area is mulched with lots of play equipment. There is plenty of grassy area for running and playing. Our home is smoke-free, pet-free, clean and well-organized, while still being welcoming and comfortable. Our day is routine and lightly structured, I keep meals and nap times on a consistent time schedule. During the "school year", we have planned learning activities. Our activities are pre-planned and are included in the monthly newsletter and calendar. I try to keep the learning fun, age-appropriate, and engaging for all ages of the children in our group. I provide the extra attention that home based care provides, along with preschool activities that promote early learning in a much smaller setting. I was registered with Action for Children 1989 through 2016. Sadly this program has been discontinued. My husband and I have been fingerprinted and have background checks with local and federal databases, including the sheriff's office and a background check with Children Services. I have also completed over 200 hours of training in many aspects of caring for young children and the business of home based child care. Come visit Michelle's House!

Grace S says "Our children have been with Michelle since infancy and she is the best! Wonderful balance of free play & stuctured routines with nuturing guidance & care....

I'm a mother of 4 with 6 grandchildren. A former special needs preschool teacher with 35 years of experience and with excellent references. It's my philosophy to provide a warm, loving environment to foster a positive self esteem and confident social skills. I feel it's also my job to prepare children for preschool, as it is tough for children when they first enter large group environment. If you choose to have your child enroll with me, they will be participating in all of these activities: Daily circle time with stories, puppets, finger plays, songs, and rhymes. We do cognitive activities such as math, sorting, matching, sequencing, and simple sciences. Your children will enjoy music and movement with instruments, bean bags, scarves, and streamers. Offering fine motor activities; blocks, puzzles, peg boards, and beads. I provide outdoor activities such as planting seeds in the spring-time while also measuring their growth, sand/water exploration, bubbles, and drawing/painting on the sidewalk. As well as weekly seasonal and Holiday based Art and Craft activities. If you would like to contact me directly my e-mail: homegkids@gmail.com
