Im not in BP, but I have been around DR my whole life and lived in DR about 2 years as well. There are lots of fun family things to get involved with though if you look, have you tried any of the activities with the FireHouse for the kiddos? Or checked with the chamber of commerce for upcoming activities? There are boat rental's with Lake Amistad Rental's especially since the weather is getting nice, there are fun play boats or fishing boats what ever suits your family. Just a few ideas....
