Candidates should have experience working with children with special needs and be willing to be trained on our child's specific needs. Your role would basically be to play and go on adventures that support my son's overall development. The ideal candidate would be fully vaccinated for COVID and is fit so they could lift and transfer 45-50 lbs. (as he currently needs to be transferred regularly).

Our child will need help with her dinner around 6 p.m. and we'll go over the food options with you. She is not a picky eater at all. After that she usually plays with her toys, explores the kitchen and living room, and really enjoys music and having books read to her. We generally avoid screen time. Her usual bedtime is 8-8:30 p.m. We also have a 5-month-old golden retriever puppy who will remain crated for the majority of the evening but if you can let her out into the backyard and play with her dog toys for a few minutes around 7-7:15 p.m. and keep an eye on both of them, that would be ideal. We are starting to look for a child care provider for summer break. Our daughter is 11 and special needs (non-verbal, in diapers, and just learning to walk). She loves to play ball, go out to ride her adaptable bike (must be pushed), play on her iPad, and fly drones. This position would be M-W 8-3 for the summer months, $21/hour.
