I was a camp counselor for my local park district, and for two summers I cared for children 3-7yrs. Also around that time, I co-founded a Math Circle for children 3-12yrs. Each week, we would pick a mathematical theme--infinity, zero, limits, etc--and create lesson plans for each age group. We would then engage with the kids at their academic and interest level in order to spur genuine conversation and curiosity. In addition to these structured roles, I have also occasionally babysat for family and family friends. In my spare time, I like to read, draw, play rec sports, and attend film screenings and artistic performances all over the city!
