About the business
Children learn through play, asking questions, and exploring the natural world around them. Our program incorporates the philosophies of Emilia Reggio and also includes Waldorf style teaching. Myself and my teachers are highly educated and experienced in providing a fun outdoor experience at our nature school. The school is located at mission bay where we have access to playgrounds, bathrooms, the ocean, sand, shade, dirt, and nature to explore. For students who are still taking nap time, we have a shady canopy to sleep under. We also have access to indoor beds through a comfy camper that is parked close by. This also allows us access to our own private toilets and microwave! Our daily lessons and play time include music, art, early reading strategies, math strategies, and age appropriate science lessons! Our teachers strongly believe that learning should be fun and work hard to provide an engaging daily experience for the littles. My 4 year old son has been going to Wild Child since their nature school opened in June and he has thrived and flourished and learned so much! He had the time of his life at their Summer camp and is now buckling down with their amazing curriculum since summer ended and is doing amazing with piano, art, science, letter writing etc. He truly and I mean TRULY adores Miss Sarina and to see my child love someone so much makes me just love her and what she has created in this nature school even more. I tried 3 other preschool and homeschool enrichment centers and they were not the right fit for my son. His happy place is learning outside with the amazing and talented teachers at Wild Child! I am so grateful for them and look forward to seeing my sons continued progress under their care and skilled teaching.
