My name is Selena Peck and I run Canine Fur Baby Services. We are home and family based. We love dogs unconditionally. Let me tell you a little about me:
I'm currently attending college and getting my basic classes covered. After a couple degrees in college, I have hopes of making it into Veterinary School. I love animals and enjoy working hard for them and their owners/pet parents. I am up to date and Certified in Pet First Aid and CPR. My family and I have experience in canine medicine administration, including insulin shots. I have taken both online and physical classes for Pet CPR, dog behavior, and more. I look for learning opportunities everyday. I'm currently looking into an internship at a grooming salon. I would love more experience in grooming to better my skills. (We don't officially offer grooming at the moment, but depending on the pet, I do offer small breed full grooms at $25.) Meeting new dogs is one of my favorite thing about what I do. I find the variety of breeds and personalities amazing. I hope to meet yours soon!
Whether you are going on vacation, a work trip, gone for the day, or gone for a few hours, we can be your hero! We recommend booking in advance, however we do do our best to accommodate those last min request! But try not to wait too last minute, we do have requirements, need paperwork filled out, and spots fill up fast.
My family and I strives to satisfy you and most importantly, your beloved furry babies/pets. Dogs have always been apart of our lives. We have over 17 years experience in owning dogs as a family. Our owning experience has been with Golden Retrievers and Yorkies. Our dogs live long and healthy lives. Don't get me wrong, owning dogs can teach you a lot, but it's not enough experience to be fit for this job. We also have over 4 years of working experience with others' pets.
Owning a dog and having a fenced in yard doesn't automatically make somebody a good candidate for this job. Many reports of missing dogs in the hands of in home boarder are often cases of a dog jumping, digging, or squeezing its way through a fenced in yard. Just because one has owned dogs, doesn't mean they know how to handle all dogs and the situations you can be in conducting this job.
Ours is NOT fenced, instead we take the time to supervised the dogs at all times, they are never left out unattended. We do use tie outs for the safety of the dogs.
