About the business
I am currently pursuing American University School of Public Affairs' combined BA/MA program, in which I will be receiving a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics & Government in May 2023 and an MS in Terrorism & Homeland Security Policy in May 2024. I am also minoring in Women's & Gender Studies. My passion for history and knack for writing essays within the subjects of history, sociology, political science, and related fields had led me to happily and successfully pursue these degrees. As of December 2022, I currently have a 3.97 GPA.
I have previous education-related experience as an intern for the DC chapter of the nonprofit Global Kids, in which I taught high school youth leadership and career skills. I was also a teaching assistant for GOVT-110: Politics in the U.S., an introductory class on politics for freshmen and other new students. Other related professional experiences include working as a legislative intern for U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan's D.C. Office and tutoring and assisting 2nd/3rd grade students in the classroom as a Reading Rescue volunteer.
I learned vital skills about writing effective argumentative essays while attending Phillips Exeter Academy, a highly selective independent day and boarding high school located in New Hampshire. In my free time, I have enjoyed reading, editing, and advising current Exonians on how to craft their history papers - and now would like to extend my mentoring further.
