About the business
PEACEFUL PET CARE
"The calm and gentle way"
Just a little about myself...
My love for animals began as a child. I grew up on a farm with livestock where I learned at an early age the importance of treating animals with respect and dignity to earn their trust. This strong foundation has followed me into adulthood. I am a self-taught dog behaviorist, with over 5000+ hours of field experience understanding and recognizing canine body language. I'm an experienced professional with a passion for the safety and well being of animals in my care.
I'm detail oriented, self-motivated, and have an uncompromising work ethic. I am a member of Pet Sitters Associates, LLC and am licensed, bonded and insured. [#52557] I've been a resident of Naples for the past 24 years, twelve of which I've cared for other peoples' pets as though they were my own. I was a foster mom for a dog rescue in Naples where I met and fell in love with my Shih Tzu, Holly. We also have our little Chihuahua, Rosie, who is also a rescue.
I believe hard work builds character. I also believe you must have balance in life, and I choose my family, yoga, and Dressage as my passions. Having the privilege of caring for other people's pets has brought me great joy.
Pet Sitting: Standard visits consist of 1, 2, or 3 visits a day, allowing your pet to follow their usual routines while you 're away.
(Overnight stays are subject to availability and may not be accommodated during busy times and holiday dates.)
TYPICAL PET SITTING ACTIVITIES
Some of the typical functions for a daily pet sit would include the following:
* Exercise: A tired dog is a happy dog! Included is basic walking service.
* Play: I provide all pets with stimulating playtime to keep their spirits up and full of life's energy.
* Feeding/Caring: I make sure food, water, and all medications are provided during my visits.
* Security: Doors and windows are checked for security; lights, blinds and even radios/TVs are rotated on/off for a lived in look. Trash is taken out if needed.
* Convenience: Newspapers and mail are picked up along with houseplant care
* Clean up: Inevitably there is small accidents or simple cleaning of litter box.
