I scheduled a grooming appointment with Marti several weeks ago. We couldn't make it, so I called and left a voicemail letting her know. She called the next Thursday and left her own voicemail asking me where I was with our dogs. I was confused because I was sure I had scheduled the appointment for the Thursday before. I figured it was a simple misunderstanding and did not call back until today to reschedule another grooming appointment. She told me she has a "no show" policy and that I would be charged a fee for missing our appointment. I tried to explain a few times that I had in fact called and left a message, but she didn't seem to believe me and said she would go back and check her voicemails to confirm. Still pretty confused as to how I can be charged for an appointment that I hadn't even scheduled to begin with, since the original appointment was for the week before. Either way, I told her it wasn't great to treat her customers like she was and that I would be posting about my conversation with her to Yelp and Facebook and she told me she'd be fine since I don't bring my dogs to her but every 6 months or so anyway and HUNG UP on me! Maybe she doesn't need my business, I don't know. I do know I don't want to do business with anyone who treats their customers this way. Word to the wise - be aware of her cancellation policy.
