PLease avoid this instructor and her husband at all costs. Penny is a very gifted piano teacher and great with children. But she is unprofessional, unreliaable, a poor communicator. She cancelled lessons within 1 hrs notice and never offered timely makeups. Even worse, she wouldn't call. She would get her husband to text or email who was even more unhelpful and callous to our scheduling needs. Her personal problems with her family and children, ex-husband have made her an impossible teacher to deal with. Towards end of semester, she cancelled classes for a month and failed to deliver on an end of year recital. She did not offer even our money back for the missed lessons. She expects families to constantly adjust their schedule and their childrens piano lessons around her family drama. Her husband is a psychiatrist and constantly enables her and treats her like a child and does all the heavy lifting for her shielding her from any accountability. He even speaks to families like we are 2 years old. We found a better situation now and are much happier. Please avoid them and spare your children.
