Mathnasium is an after school math learning center which makes math make sense to students. We serve students in grades 2 through high school, including ACT and SAT prep. Our students receive an individually tailored learning program based on a comprehensive assessment. We use the Mathnasium curriculum, developed over 30 years by Larry Martinek, an exceptional math teacher who understands how students learn math. Our staff are experienced in working with children and are college graduates with math majors, college students majoring in math, or licensed math teachers. All are trained and certified in the Mathnasium Method, a highly effective approach to teaching math. Instead of an hourly fee, members pay a monthly fee to attend Mathnasium 2 or 3 times a week. Students attend 10 to 12 times per month on a flexible schedule for individual sessions lasting an hour to hour-and-a-half. Independent studies, parent feedback, and school report cards show that our students make significant improvement in their math grades and attitudes toward math.
