About the business
Parents/Guardians,
Thank you for your interest in summer tutoring for your student. My name is Jason O., I am currently an 8th grade Math Teacher at Edgewood Middle School and my wife, Carley, is a 3rd Grade Teacher at Monroe Elementary. We are both in our fifth year of teaching and this will be our fourth year providing summer tutoring.
We are excited to meet our students and help them achieve their academic goals! We offer group and individual sessions. Sessions usually last one hour but we can accommodate other requests if need be. All tutoring sessions each day will be held at the Monroe Lending Library (6 East Avenue, Monroe, OH 45050) or the Trenton Midpointe Library (200 Edgewood Drive, Trenton, OH 45067). Please email Carley or myself, depending on the tutoring services you are needing, to set up your tutoring appointments.
We do realize emergencies and conflicts come up, tutoring for us is a source of our time and income therefore we do appreciate effective and up front communication. If your student is NOT going to be able to attend their scheduled tutoring session we need to be notified at least one hour in advance. For example, a student with a session at 10:00 am needs to notify us by 9:00 am. This allows us to rearrange/fill the empty time slot or go to the pool :). If there is no communication about the cancellation we do expect to be compensated for our time. Our rates are listed below:
Individual Tutoring Session: $30 an hour
Group Tutoring Session (2-3): $20 an hour per student
Group of 4 or more: $15 an hour per student
Carley will do elementary reading tutoring and I will focus on the math tutoring. Carley may also take some elementary math students. Split sessions are available upon request (30 minutes of reading and 30 minutes of math). Our contact information is listed below. If you would like to sign your student up or have any questions please feel free to email either of us. In your email please indicate whether you are interested in group tutoring that way we can pair kids up that are in the same grade. We will share the sign up sheet with you once we receive your email so you can choose your time slot(s).
