I am a professionally certified educational therapist and reading specialist with methods endorsed by the International Dyslexia Association. I am also a licensed teacher in the state of Ohio. Educational therapy differs from tutoring. Our methods focus on processing skills, verbal reasoning, and thinking skills associated with learning struggles. An initial battery of assessments is required at a nominal fee in order to determine an individualized program for each student. Sessions are one-on-one, usually 80 minutes long twice a week. These are during the school day (no evening hours.)

My Masters degree is Reading Specialist from Xavier University. I have been involved in education in many different roles including classroom teacher at a number of grade levels, homeschooling mom, educational interpreter, private tutor, volunteer, and now doing what I love and feel called to do--educational therapist. Most of my students attend Liberty Bible Academy, but each year I have a few slots open to others.
