Career spans 35 years in geriatric healthcare administration, 13 years as a LNHA, 20 years as owner/administrator of Medicare certified home health agency (Apple Home Healthcare), 2 years as Director of Operations for Home Instead Senior Care franchise (private duty homecare). Certifications in Alzheimer Care, hospice bereavement and caregiving consultation. Began private consulting practice Life Well Lived focusing but not confined to bereavement counseling following the death of my wife in 2013. Conversant in all aspects of geriatric care management, including hospital to home transition and avoiding readmission, home safety assessment and remodeling, organization/decluttering, family mediation, determining need for and assessing retirement, assisted living communities and nursing homes.
