Accompany You is a driving service for those who cannot drive but need someone to assist them along the way. Their wish is to be independent and stay in their home. When family members have difficulty taking time off from work, Accompany You can be your assistant too. A Personal Driver Assistant will accompany them to their doctor appointments, asking questions and taking notes when requested. With outpatient procedures, chemotherapy, physical therapy, or medical tests, we will make sure your loved one arrives on time, gets all doctor instructions and gets settled back home. If shopping is needed, we will help shop, carry, load, unload and put away purchases if asked. If a loved one is in the hospital, we also hospital sit when a family member cannot be there. We take notes and keep you up on nurse and doctors care. When your loved one is discharged, we can also be a daytime companion until they feel better managing on their own. Accompany You tries to assist with any request whenever possible. We've even taken clients on field trips of their choice. Our goal is to have fun with every assignment, when possible. We can do a quick home check while picking up your loved one to make sure everything is working or if anything needs repair. The only requirement for our client is to be able to get in and out of a vehicle without any lifting assistance. We can do a one hour meet and greet for older adults so they feel more at ease. There is a minimal charge for this but it is taken off the first driving assignment. Walkers and canes welcome. We do have a travel wheelchair for field trips if needed. We also take younger adults to outpatient procedures because some might not have family or friends who are able to take time off work. They will not let you ride share home. Accompany You gets you there on time, waits, stops for any prescription fills and makes sure you get home safely.
We service the Northwest Suburban area. There is a 3 hour time slot minimum.
