DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMALS TO THIS GROOMER! My husband and I took our shih tzus to this groomer for the first time this morning. There were 4 dogs scheduled at 8:00 a.m. Immediately upon entering the building, there was a very strong smell of cigarette smoke. The poor dog that was in front of us was visibly shaken and agitated with the fact that he was being left with this groomer (he had been there before).

When it was our turn at the front desk, I was explaining to the worker that our 14 year old dog didn't like her face to be touched and would wiggle around a lot. I explained that she didn't have any teeth and Kathy responded "well, that doesn't mean that she can't leave any damage!". I said that I had given Lexi a Benadryl (on advice of the veterinarian). Kathy screamed "we don't do drugged dogs!"

As new potential customers, I could not believe the audacity and blatant rudeness that this woman (who reeked of cigarette smoke) exuded. She did not care that there were other people getting ready to drop their dogs off too. I can only imagine how these animals are treated when left alone with this cruel woman at this facility.

I will also be contacting the city regarding the smoking violation. This business needs to be shut down. I have NEVER had such an experience in the city of Council Bluffs.

The only reason that I am giving this business one star is due to the fact that you have to choose at least one in order to post your review.

Do not go to Kathy's Pet Salon! Worst customer service, and haircuts ever! Waited months for an appointment, never confirmed, called with missed appointment that was never set. Kathy (owner) refused to fix the problem and did nothing to remedy the situation. Kathy blamed us for there mistake, when she didnt send a confirmation email. Staff was very unprofessional. If you take your dog to this place expect it to be very stressful and the owner to be unorganized.
