My name is George. I have worked in the horticulture industry for over 30 years and as a commercial plant grower for over 10 years.
Most of my experience with pets and plants has been through practical experience. During my life, I have had many types of animals and plants and loved every single one. George (which means farmer) is very fitting for my path in life with both plants and pet care.
As a child and through adulthood, I have always had a deep appreciation for animals and plants. In my backyard, you will find a Koi pond and a greenhouse packed with over 100 orchids and foliage plants. Inside the house, you will find more plants, 2 dogs and 2 newly adopted kittens. These aren't just possessions but family members.
My life has always revolved around pets and plants and now I would like to share my passion with other families who have the same connection. If you feel as strongly about your plants and pets, then we will work well together.
Working with plants in particular allow me to express my creative nature. Working as a private gardener for over 13 years, I was able to design with plants indoors and out. Each week, I would maintain the plants that I set up inside the home. Christmas time, I would deliver florist quality Poinsettias to the client as gifts and decoration for around the house.
This entire experience has inspired me to grow what I am most passionate about into a business. And that is how Fur And Foliage has come to be. Passion makes all the difference in the world. My passion makes the business personal.
