During one of the most difficult times in my life, a husband and wife took a chance and gave me a job as their housekeeper/personal assistant. Having spent my whole working life in the restaurant industry, I had few qualifications. I realized, shortly after being employed, that I had a knack for cleaning and organizing. More so, I found the tasks associated with the job, soothing and loved easing the stress of my employers by something as simple as a clean and organized home. I worked for them for a about a year, before going back to restaurant industry full time. I was promoted shortly after and trained in management until the Coronavirus. I was furloughed, like most restaurant employees. I spent all my time during the quarantine with my husband and my step-daughter. I realized during this time, that life is too short to spend it doing something you don't love.
