Above and Beyond Pet Care LLC is a pet sitting and hiking business serving Southeastern Connecticut, Northern Virginia, and Southern Maryland. We are dedicated to creating stable temperaments through leadership, socialization, and exercise. By replicating a dogs natural behavior and instincts to be part of a stable pack we create balanced, happy dogs. I have bred, owned and handled dogs in multiple venues of confirmation and working events for 13 years. We still avidly show our dogs, so that is why we can not offer services on the weekends. I have experience with multiple breeds and sizes, I have spent countless hours researching training techniques, nutrition, and pack behavior. I have supervised dog day cares in this area as well as working in kennels and volunteering in shelters. I started this business after a close friend and mentor started a branch in CT. She bragged how much more she enjoys having this interaction with the dogs. We both feel that these hikes build valuable pack structure while molding behavior through a positive and exciting way to exercise. This is such a personal experience, the dogs build friendships and I assure you will come home worn out! Not only that, studies have shown that walking dogs, especially large breed dogs, on the concrete is harmful to joints! So lets get off the trail!
